During COVID Lockdown, our founder Laura Scarfe became burnt out and wanted to work on something she was passionate about, women in leadership roles and the procurement industry.  She spent 24 months researching this topic, and found that there is a real lack of studies in the area of female procurement leadership, but across all of the research that has been completed, there were three common recurring themes of areas that need working on, these are:

Better female leadership training
Greater cross-industry networks
More visible representation and mentorship

With this as a mission, in 2022 she created the movement Female Leaders in Procurement (FLiP) with the aim of providing innovative unique female leadership training for female procurement professionals who wish to expand their careers into senior leadership, and providing events across the UK, and hopefully in time globally, for female procurement professionals to engage in cross industry networking and have more representation of existing female leaders.
